I am embarrased to say that if you have emailed me thru a link on the A Posh Event website or thru theknot.com in the last 10 months, chances are that I did not receive the email until just recently.  Being a recently new start-up company, I was feeling that all my hardwork was not paying off, as I was not receiving any inquiries.  Come to find out that the email link was not working.  I only recently found out that was something was wrong when a couple nice potential clients let me know that they were following up on emails sent (that I had not received).

Wow! The summer is already flying by and we will be in July in the next couple of days. For those Brides that are in the countdown phase…don’t forget to enjoy yourself and stop and breathe. Don’t be afraid to ask your bridal party, friends and family for help as the day approaches. I’ve been a Bride before, so I know what you are going thru. It’s crunch time…final head count is due, final payments are due, you have to pick the music selections, decide on where to seat your soon to be in-laws that are divorcing, etc. If you are the Bride that has planned everything to a “T” and wants to follow thru with all the details, try to remember that this is a day that you will remember for ever, so take a deep breath, relax and enjoy it. Now’s the time to think about hiring a Day Of Coordinator. Someone that you can pass all the details onto for the last couple of months before the wedding, so that you can focus on enjoying the last months of your engagement and alleviate the stress that often comes with planning a wedding.

I’m back!  I didn’t want to disappoint everyone.  I have to admit that blogging is new to me so you’ll have to be patient with me.  My feeling is that this blog should be informative and inspirational, as a Bride-to-Be is looking for as much information and inspiration that she can find.

I’ve been doing alot of researching and there is definitely a trend in Wedding Favors.  Gone are the days of mints wrapped in tulle, chocolates in neatly wrapped boxes…with the economic downturn, not only are Brides are becoming innovative with their skills they are adding “green” elements to their weddings. 

I’m talking about the latest trend in favors – homemade goods (straight from the family kitchen) such as  preserves, honey, apple butter, spice rubs & more.  Instead of sending your guest home with a tulle of mints, couples are wanting to add that special element to their favors that reminds the guest each time they use it of the love that went into that special gift.  Not only are these great DIY projects for the Bride with a budget, but also have a “green” element, if using recycled canisters as the favor vessel.

What a weekend! Our first wedding of 2011 went fantastic - thank you Corinne & Brian.  We hope that you have a great honeymoon.
